When to go

The weather in South India is generally hot all year round, but can be unbearable in May and June, so the ideal months to visit are between January and March.

Getting there

International flights from the UK to Chennai, Calcutta, Amritsar and Bangalore take 8-10 hours, and internal flights offered to North India are excellent and often inexpensive.
